Supplier Management Policy

Arima Lasers Corporation is committed to the fair and equitable treatment of our suppliers, cooperating with qualified suppliers to manage risks and drive continuous improvements in the standards of performance and quality through the provision of goods and services. Our suppliers and supply chains are integral to create value for our customers.

Supplier selection and assessment methods

Perform evaluations on supplier’s quality / finance / cost / delivery / technical capabilities/services… etc.

Supplier’s field audit is scored, according Arima Lasers Corporation’s supplier management policy.

Only the supplier who meet ALC requirements can become qualified supplier.

Classify by supplier’s product safety, quality and delivery performance, cost, regulatory requirements and risk assessment.

The Supplier’s qualified score is lower than Arima Lasers Corporation’s assessment, The purchasing is ceased and cancel the qualification of qualified suppliers.

ALC quality assurance department evaluates supplier performance, base on capability, delivery, quality… etc.

The supplier is required to improve of the weak part and ALC will support them to meet ALC requirements.

Supplier Management Code of Conduct

Suppliers shall comply with the following guidelines and norms:

Responsible Business Alliance and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights

The supplier's labor, health and safety, and ethical requirements are consistent with the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct and the UN's "Universal Declaration of Human Rights" The concept and language. Suppliers must uphold the human rights of their employees and treat them with dignity and respect in a way that the international community understands. This applies to all workers, including temporary employees, immigrant employees, work students, contractors, direct employees, and any other type of worker.

Environmental protection, pollution prevention and resource conservation

Suppliers should minimize adverse impacts on communities, the environment, and natural resources during manufacturing operations while protecting the health and safety of the public. To protect the health and safety of the public, suppliers should operate in an environmentally responsible manner and comply with all relevant environmental laws and regulations. Suppliers must obtain, maintain and retain all necessary environmental permits and registrations and follow the operational and reporting requirements of such licenses.

RoHS ( Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive)

The supplier's manufacturing process and its raw materials shall be in accordance request with the substances listed in the RoHS Directive Restriction Directive.

Use only the Responsible Minerals Initiative to review the raw materials from qualified mine sources

Suppliers must follow the Responsible Minerals Initiative policy and use only smelters or refineries that meet RMAP/CFSP regulations. Suppliers are expected to communicate the Responsible Minerals Initiative policy to the underlying suppliers. Participants should perform due diligence on the source and chain of custody of these minerals and provide their responsibilities investigations at the request of the client.

Intellectual property rights

Suppliers should respect intellectual property rights; suppliers must pass technology and knowledge in a manner that protects intellectual property rights and must protect the data of customers and their underlying suppliers.

International (US) Import and Export Regulations (Anti-Terrorism and Embargo) Commitment

Suppliers are expected to comply with all applicable US and international laws (“Export Control Acts”) import and export, customs and trade controls and regulations, licensing requirements and other relevant regulations. This includes regulations for export and re-export of the United States, international sanctions programs administered by the US Treasury, and other applicable government agencies in the United States or other countries, the Singapore Strategic Commodities (Control) Act, the Malaysian Strategic Trade Act, and the European Union. Business integrity and all legitimate benefits

Suppliers should adhere to the highest standards of integrity in all business interactions and adopt a zero tolerance policy to prohibit any form of bribery, corruption, extortion or encroachment. No bribes or other forms of improper gains, including any money, valuables or preferential treatment, may be offered or accepted. Suppliers must not provide gifts or other types of personal benefits to Arima lasers corporation employees.
